Digital Compositing, June 2026
These six 2-hour sessions will focus on Maggie's current favorite compositing techniques in Photoshop using images from a variety of sources. We will also look at Midjourney methods for creating source materials, as well as Adobe Firefly and Photoshop Generative Fill. You will receive PDF handouts and downloadable files so you can rebuild the images she creates in class afterwards step by step watching the recordings.

Digital Compositing 1.0
These three 2-hour sessions are a look at the basics of working with Photoshop layers, masks, adjustment layers, and an array of tools that help you put together a multi-layered collage. We start by organizing the workspace and set up of Photoshop. Whether you are just starting out with digital collage, or you need a refresher, this provides a lot of practice with layers.
Above and Under Water
These two sessions total 4.5 hours and cover creating two different water composites. We will be experimenting with blend modes, ripples, reflections, displacement maps and more.
Working Smartly with Smart Objects
These two sessions total 3.5 hours cover everything Maggie loves about smart objects in Photoshop. What are they? When do I need to use them? What are nested smart objects, smart filters, and more. We will build two demo images to experiment and problem solve with smart objects.
Coloring in Maggie's World
These two sessions total 3.5 hours with two demos that cover creating and using color in Maggie's favorite ways with Photoshop. Color techniques, decision making, and more!
