This group of images includes early digital photomontages created in 2009 and earlier. The works combine photographs, scanned objects, and historical imagery—often including 19th-century photographs—assembled through layers of digital collage. These early pieces explore many of the visual ideas that continue throughout the later work: unexpected juxtapositions, shifts in scale, and quiet dreamlike scenes where animals, figures, and familiar objects form small imaginative narratives.
